The Game Delayed, “L.A.X.” Set For August Release

SOHH has been informed that Compton, California rapper The Game's highly anticipated upcoming album LAX has been pushed back an entire month to August 22nd.


Previously scheduled to come out July 22nd, Interscope Geffen confirmed the changed date, butoffered no explanation at press time. The rescheduling will mark the rapper's fourth push back since his original release date onJune 24th.

According to the LATimes, Game threw a listening party for the album last night in SantaMonica, California. Although the album is nearly two months away from dropping,the 28 year-old guaranteed the album's completion and gave a shout-out to G-Unit's 50 Cent.

"It brings me joy to say that I completed my third album,"he told listeners. "I ain't got no beef with 50. All that [stuff] was on wax. Inever shot at him, he never shot at me. Both of us done said a lot. But we'renot Biggie and Pac. I appreciate the homie for helping me on my way up."

As previously reported by SOHH, the album will feature cuts from a wide varietyof artists including Blink 182'sdrummer Travis Barker, Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes, Lil' Wayne,and others. Production on the album willalso include mega producers like ScottStorch, Hi-Tek, and Cool & Dre.

With plenty of time on his hands before LAX comes out, Game has kept busy by rejoining forces with hisold G-Unit nemesis Young Buck.The two are expected to collaborate together and be featured on producer Nu Jerzey Devil's upcoming "You KnowWhat It Is Volume 5" mixtape dropping next month.

Aside from the mixtape, Game is also featuring Buck amongstseveral other rappers on the remix to the fellow Bay Area singer Keyshia Cole assisted single "Game'sPain" from his album. Expected to be released this Friday on his XM radio show,three regional remixes of the song will come out including a New York,Southern, and West Coast version.
